Ayatollah Seyyed Mohsen Kharrazi was born on 1937 (1316) in Tehran to a religious family which was the favorite of religious people and great scholars of Tehran. His father was Seyyed Mahdi Kharrazi and they are from Isfahan originally which immigrated to Tehran and they are the honorable Sa’adat of Isfahan and Tehran and their parentage is from Imam Sajjad (AS) and Imam Hassan (AS).
He passed primary school in Borhan Cultural Center in Tehran, and then trained by Agha Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Zahed the Imam of Amin Al-Doleh Mosque and General Mosque of Tehran, he trained adolescents and he influenced deeply on their hearts. When he died Master Kharrazi started business in Bazaar of Tehran for a while, but he left Bazaar soon and attended the Ayatollah Mojtahedi’s lesson and became his favorite student.
After learning primary lessons he decided to go to Qom Seminary to complete his education under distinguished masters of that seminary and of course Ayatollah Rafi’e advised him to make that decision too. So he alongside Ayatollah Ostadi went to Qom in 1957 (1336), lived in the same place with him and began his education.
He completed the rest of Literature Lessons in Qom then learned Lessons of Level Period in Jurisprudence, Principles, Philosophy, and Kalam (Language), and he attended the Extra Lesson of Masters and Scholars since 1962 (1341). He was benefited by Ethic Lessons of cultured and virtuous masters of seminary.
Ayatollah Kharrazi studied under many masters and scholars, in Tehran he was the favorite student of Agha Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Zahed, and after his death went to Ayatollah Mojtahedi and got his love.
He was learned the rest of primary lessons by Ayatollah Fesharaki, and attended Sharh-e Lam’e of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Taghi Sotudeh. He studied Rasael under Ayatollah Sheikh Mustafa Etemadi , and Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Shah Abadi, and Makaseb under Ayatollah Mirza Ali Meshkini, Kyfaiat Al-Osul under Ayatollah Hajj Seyyed Mohammad Bagher Soltani and Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Shah Abadi, and Hajj Sheikh Ali Tonkaboni Falsafi. Also he was learned Philosophy, Language and Believes by Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Shah Abadi.
He attended the Extra Lesson of Ayatollah Golpaiegani, Ayatollah Mohaghegh Damad, AyatollahSeyyed Hassan Farid Araki since 1962 (1341), and the Extra Lesson of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ali Araki till the last days of this Master’s life.
During the years of learning the levels he discussed and kept companionship with Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Mamduhi, Gholam Hussein Haghani, Seyyed Mojtaba Zanjaniand Seyyed Jamal Al-Din Parvar, and while he learned Extra Lessons discussed with Ayatollah Ostadi, Moslehi, and Gholam Reza Soltani, and was the friend of Ayatollah Mazaheri, Mesbah, and Seyyed Mohammad Khamenei, but Ayatollah Reza Ostadi is his friend from the first day till now.

Political Activities:
Ayatollah Seyyed Mohsen Kharrazi has been the supporter of Revolution before and after the victory, and he always emphasized the Leadership of Imam and after him the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Kamenei. He has important activities during the years before Revolution like participating in protests and connecting to some Mara’je to release some imprisoned people who were in danger.
He became a member of Jam’e Modaresin (Teachers Society) of Qom seminary by invitation of the other members in 1981 (1359), and he had an important role in development of seminary, and also he became a member of Majlis Khobregan (Assembly of Experts) in second and third period from Tehran.
Ayatollah Seyyed Mohsen Kharrazi is in Qom now and he is teaching and training talented and young students.
